Exhibit: "Made in Pittsburgh: Engineering a Region"
Premiered March 27, 2006
"Made In Pittsburgh: Engineering a Region" chronologically follows the development of
our region by focusing on the contributions and accomplishments of engineers.
Highlights include the topography challenges early engineers faced and their
contributions to regional industries such as coal, steel, railroad and river
transportation. Also featured are technological advancements in the areas of
bioengineering, robotics and environmental progress such as reclaiming industrial
land. The enthusiasm for the future expressed by today's engineering students
continues the region's legacy of innovation and invention.
