Region in Motion

Visitors entering the Convention Center from either of the two river entrances will be greeted by "Region In Motion". Three high-resolution rear projectors in each entrance present images on both sides of 17-foot wide by 5-foot tall specially designed screens. This quick moving film blends images of the economic vitality of the region with images that illustrate the region's quality of life.

The panoramic images are updated four times a year, marking the turn of the seasons. But all year long visitors can enjoy a tour of the region's landscapes, neighborhoods, activities, events and people, from Butler to Washington to Greensburg to Manchester. A glance up to the top left corner of the screen will tell you what location, event, or person you're seeing.

The Pittsburgh Region is on the move. And "Region In Motion" is a portrayal of the momentum, energy and dynamism created by the people who live and work in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
