Exhibit: "CLEVELAND in Red, White and Blue"
July 4, 2009

In partnership with the Cleveland School of the Arts, a specialty arts high school located in the heart of University Circle, the Regional Showcase "CLEVELAND in Red, White and Blue” show was created. Talented high school photographers and artisans took the assignment of capturing our nation’s colors in non-traditional forms and delivered some extraordinary creations.

An old pair of Converse sneakers, bottle caps, and an emergency fire handle and teens on skateboards all served as unexpected subjects for this patriotic show. Students not only focused on photography, but were also encouraged to manipulate images using computer design software enhancing the uniqueness and creativity of each piece.

The result… an impressive array of photos that showcase the talent of Cleveland’s high school students, encouraging them to be challenged artistically and having the chance to share this talent with the entire city.
